YOUR COMFORT COUNTS.
In your thermal comfort, what are the most important aspects? Is it the general ambient temperature? Do you need to heat or cool? Or maybe both? Whatever the need, HELTUN guarantees to take care of it.
Take control
The Heltun thermostat is equipped with 5 relays that can support a load of 5A each, and two independent dry contact inputs. It is recommended for the control of air conditioning systems such as split and muli-split, systems with chillers and fan coils, central air conditioning systems or multi-zone air conditioning VRF/VRV (variable refrigerant flow / volume), valve control for heating management, etc.
Elegant design
The Heltun thermostat is available in 30 combinations to fit perfectly into your interior design. Five frames (silver, chrome, gloss black, matte black and white) and six glass colors (white, black, yellow, green, red and blue) allow you to adapt it to any environment. Designed to be powerful, efficient and stylish, with a thickness of 9mm, the Heltun thermostat is "incredibly thin" and beautiful on your wall.
Internal sensors
In addition to the temperature sensor, the HELTUN thermostat also includes built-in humidity and ambient light sensors that can be analyzed by a Z-Wave controller and used to trigger home automation scenes.
Multiple sensors to save energy
When electronics are running, they generate heat. As a result, some thermostats measure room temperature with an accuracy of only 1.5-2.0°C. HELTUN engineers added two internal temperature sensors and compensation software to calculate the ambient temperature with ten times greater accuracy: 0.2 to 0.3°C. This helps you feel more comfortable while saving energy.
Inputs and outputs
The main power input can be 85-265VAC 50Hz/60Hz or 24-48VDC. The thermostat has five relay outputs, each with a maximum load of 5 amps.
It also has two independent inputs for relay channels that allow controlling systems with different power sources for fan speed and for heating/cooling valves.
Input 1 with the required power source is intended for fan speed and is used for relay channels 1, 2 and 3, which can support a maximum load of 15 amps.
Input 2 with the required power source is intended for heating and cooling and is used for relay channels 4 and 5, which can support a maximum load of 10 amps.
Know your energy consumption
The built-in power consumption system monitors how much energy you've used over the course of a day, week, or month. Does your current thermostat do this?
Simply specify the consumption of the load in watts for each relay channel and the logic of the thermostat will calculate the total consumption compared to the time elapsed since the output was in the "ON" state.
In addition, the circuit is designed so that it consumes almost zero watts when powered in standby mode. This saves you energy and money even if your home is equipped with many HELTUN products.
Controls
The HELTUN thermostat has six capacitive touch buttons that react to even the lightest touch to access the following functions:
- "SPEED" button to control the fan speed (cooling, heating or ventilation power) with three levels (low, medium, high) or in Auto mode.
- "Mode" button to switch between modes (e.g. Comfort, Economy, etc.).
- "Time" button that allows you to quickly set the temperature for different times of the day.
- The "Climate" button allows you to select the climate mode: heating only, cooling only, heating and cooling or ventilation only. Hold "Climate" to open the settings menu which offers more than 30 different settings.
- "+" and "-" buttons to set the temperature
LCD
The large LCD display displays all the necessary information at a glance without forcing you to activate or manipulate the controls. You have instant access to all sensor and setting information: room temperature, humidity, set point, thermostat mode, climate mode, fan speed plus date and time.
The brightness of the screen can be set manually to 15 different brightness levels, or automatically using the ambient light sensor. This allows you to easily read the screen even in good sunny weather, and without overloading your eyes at night.
Modes of Operation
COM and ECO modes maintain the temperature you set, which can be easily adjusted by selecting the desired mode and pressing the "+" or "-" command.
TIME mode allows you to set a different temperature for the morning, day, evening, and night periods for each day of the week.
Climate Modes
In Heating and Cooling mode, the thermostat will constantly maintain the desired temperature. If the ambient temperature is higher than the set temperature, the thermostat will begin to cool the house. If the ambient temperature drops below the set temperature, the thermostat will start heating the house.
In Heating Only mode, the thermostat will heat the house if the room temperature is below the set temperature and will switch to IDLE if the room temperature is above the set point.
In Cooling Only mode, the thermostat will cool the house if the room temperature is above the set temperature and change to idle if the room temperature is below the set point.
In Ventilation mode, the thermostat only operates the fan to ventilate the house.
Mode TIME
You can reduce your electricity bill by up to 50% and help the environment by activating time mode. Adjust the comfort level of your home according to your family's habits by reducing the temperature while everyone is away and increasing it in the evening and morning.
People spend an average of 12 to 14 hours a day at home. The rest of the time, an empty house needs minimal heating. And since most of the time at home, your family sleeps, it can make a huge difference by setting your home's comfort level to 18°C during the night, which is considered the optimal sleep temperature.
Using TIME mode, you can set different temperatures for morning, day, evening or night. For example: "Morning" mode can start at 7:00 a.m. at 11°C and then switch to "Day" at 8:30 a.m. at 5°C when everyone is at work and school. The "Evening" mode can start at 4:00 p.m. at 22°C and then switch to "Night" at 11:00 p.m. at 18°C. Setting the temperatures for these four periods can save a lot on your electricity bill and you can adjust for weekdays and weekends.
Fan speed
The fan speed (heating, cooling or ventilation) can be controlled manually or in Auto mode. There are four speed levels: Off, Low, Medium, High, Auto Medium, Auto High. In Auto mode, thermostat logic automatically selects the speed level based on the temperature difference between the set point and the room room.
- If the difference is less than 1.0°C, the thermostat will select the low speed level.
- If the difference is in the range 1.0C - 2.0C, the thermostat will select the average speed level.
- If the difference is more than 2.0 °C, the thermostat will select the high-speed level.
When the room temperature is equal to the set temperature, the thermostat switches to idle (fan off).
Hysteresis
Hysteresis is a technical term that defines when a heating or cooling system should turn on or off when the temperature changes. For example, if the desired temperature is 25°C and the internal hysteresis value is set to 0.5°C, the system will turn off the heater when the temperature reaches 25°C and turn it back on when the ambient temperature drops to 24.5°C.
The higher your hysteresis value, the more energy you save, but the variations in ambient temperature will be greater. The default hysteresis value is 0.5°C.
Secure & Protected
In the event of a power failure, the internal memory of the heating thermostat is saved and will not be erased. Once the thermostat is back online, all your settings will be fully functional.
To prevent your kids from changing the thermostat settings, you can turn on the "child safety" mode that locks the control buttons and prevents accidental changes.
Easy to install
The HELTUN thermostat can be easily installed in any standard electrical junction box (square or round) in just a few minutes. Installation should only be carried out by a person trained in the handling of high-voltage electrical systems.
