The FGD-212 dimmer micromodule will give you remote control over a table, standard or ceiling lamp, thanks to the Z-Wave protocol, while maintaining your existing switch.
You can therefore switch the connected lamp on or off and vary its intensity using the existing switch, a Z-Wave transmitter or directly via the button on this micromodule.
The new Fibaro FGD-212 dimmer is equipped with an intelligent light source detection algorithm that facilitates configuration and ensures the high compatibility of the device.
It has a self-protection function against overloading and a soft start function.
In the case of non-dimmable light sources, only an ON/OFF function is possible (3 wire connection).
It is compatible with any type of lamp whether dimmable or not:
- As a dimmer
- Conventional light sources, both incandescent and halogen, with a 230V AC power supply
- 12V halogen lamps (with electronic transformers)
- 12V halogen lamps (with ferromagnetic transformers)
- Dimmable LED lamps
- Dimmable compact fluorescent lamps (CFL)
- Using the Bypass, with a dimmable light source up to 225VA with a 2 wire connection (depending on load type)
- As a switch
- Fluorescent lamps
- LED lamps
- Using the Bypass, with any compatible light source up to 225VA (according to the load type)
It can be used in 2 wire mode (no neutral), to replace an existing switch, or three wires with a conventional power module (live + neutral).
For lamps with very low power consumption (LED lamp, for example), you can use the FGB-001 load (bypass) that enables the module to function correctly.
In addition to the dimmer function, this micromodule can also measure the power consumption of the connected device. Instant consumption (in W) and total electricity consumption (in kWh) can be consulted.
Each Z-Wave module functions as a wireless repeater with the other modules to ensure that your home is fully covered.

Très bon produite, facile à installer et à configurer, suis très content de l'avoir acheté ... et c'est le 8ème que j'achète.
Als Ersatz für die alten Marmitec X-10 Dimmer ideal zu verwenden. Die alten Module waren in der Steckdose montiert. Dies funktioniert aber aufgrund der Schalterbelegung (beide Anschlüsse direkt ab Schalter) nicht mehr. Daher ist es empfehlenswert den Dimmer im Schaltergehäuse zu montieren.
Good quality, stable modules.
Je pilote un série de 5 spots LED dimmable de 5W chacun, donc 25W au total. Je peux abaisser le niveau de puissance global à 5 W avec un interrupteur fixe (sans variateur) ou par la domotique. Fonctionne parfaitement! J'avais acheté un bypass au cas où les spots se mettaient à scintiller à basse puissance, mais je n'ai pas eu besoin de l'installer.
Simple et efficace comme variateur avec de chouettes fonctions avancées permettant de déclencher des scénarios
Je craignais des soucis de compatibilité avec mes lampes qui sont un joyeux mélange de leds 12V, leds 220V, dimmable ou pas, transfo magnétique, transfo électronique, néon à transfo électronique et le tout parfois mélangé sur le même appareil d'éclairage. Et en fait, tout a fonctionné sans souci avec la configuration auto. De même, les possibilités de branchement sont bonnes. Seul regret, il aurait été sympa d'avoir la possibilité de connecter Sx au neutre ce qui évite d'avoir à tirer un fil quand on travaille avec un va et vient (dit autrement, que le signal d'activation de S1 ou S2 se fasse par contact avec le neutre plutot que contact avec Sx).
A good reliable product that works well. I have about 10 of these and thez all work well. When used with the Fibaro HC2, It also allows you to setup sceneActivation when double clicking on the wall button which is very useful. I have one in the kitchen that will toggle on/off the radio when double clicking. Also useful for bathrooms if you want to double click to activate the ventilation system for 5 minutes on max.
