Aqara - Zigbee 3.0 Motion and Light Sensor (Aqara Motion Sensor P1)

The Motion Sensor P1 detects the movements and state of ambient light. If there are people moving or any change in the state of ambient light in the areas under detection, the motion sensor will send an alert to the Aqara Home app via the connected Zigbee 3.0 Aqara hub or a link to other devices.

Configurable detection time

Finally, the detection delay can be configured without any hardware modding. Simply set any waiting time from 1 to 200 seconds, confirm by pressing the button on the device, and the P1 won't be stuck for a minute, as before. (Please note that reducing the detection time reduces battery life).

5-year battery life

Thanks to energy-saving technologies and improved batteries, the Motion Sensor P1 can now achieve a record five-year lifespan, which will extend its lifespan even in extremely low temperatures or ultra-fast detection times.

Full compatibility

Compatible with the most popular smart home ecosystems. HomeKit, Alexa, IFTTT and many others are supported. Matter support will be available as an OTA update of the hubs Aqara after the official release of the specifications.

170° field of view

Extra wide field of view, 170° up to 2 meters and 150° up to 7 meters. In addition, thanks to its versatile 360-degree stand, the viewing angle can be adjusted so that only movement in the desired area (e.g. bed or sink) is detected.

Adjustable sensitivity

The user can configure the sensitivity of the sensor. Three sensitivity modes (high, medium and low) refer to the distance from which the sensor will be triggered, which can help reduce false alarms and make the installation more flexible.

Built-in brightness sensor

The P1's built-in brightness sensor can be used to control the lights more accurately. For example, only turn on the lights when it's dark and motion is detected to save energy and increase the life of the lights.

Automations

The Motion Sensor is naturally part of the majority of automations: configure THE IF conditions as well as the THEN actions, and many routine tasks such as turning on the lights, opening the curtains or controlling the TV will become automated.

Local and remote alarm

Thanks to the Aqara alert system, the Motion Sensor P1 can become a reliable security device: configure the absent mode in the application and enjoy constant monitoring, local audible and light alarms and cloud notifications in case of motion detection. Or use it in HomeKit or other supported systems for the same purpose.
