Introducing the ESPHome socket in Swiss format from Swiss-Domotique
We'd like to give you a brief overview of the commissioning and functions of the PG05V2-CH16A-ESP socket outlet from Swiss-Domotique, including Home Assistant. Sockets adapted to the Swiss market are rare. This one also features consumption monitoring, so we were eager to show it to you.
Setting it up is quick and easy:
Plug in the plug, then connect to the wifi it will have generated.
Once connected, a page will automatically open where you can connect the plug to your wifi network. If the page doesn't open automatically, go to your browser and access the ip address 192.168.4.1
.
Once the plug has stopped generating its own wifi, it's connected. You can now reconnect to your network.
You can see that it has already been recognized by Home Assistant. Click on configure, choose the room and you're done!
Here's an example of a map in the dashboard with all the possible information on the socket:
You can also access the socket's web configuration interface via its IP address.
You'll then be able to create scenes and automations like this:

Conclusion
I found the device very easy to use. Its integration with Home Assistant is relatively well done. Many values are available and there are numerous automation possibilities. I found the start-up and connection to Home Assistant quick and intuitive. The only drawback is the physical button, which doesn't give a great impression of quality, although this doesn't seem to be a real problem even with intensive use. All in all, I think that if you need a connected plug that you can link to your Home Assistant, this is a very good option.
