Ajax - Two-way wireless key fob with panic button (Ajax SpaceControl)
A key fob for controlling security modes. Features a panic button for sending alarms to your inner circle and a security company in case of trouble.
SpaceControl is a miniature key fob with accidental click protection. It allows to set the Ajax security system in the armed, night or disarmed mode, as well as switch on an alarm.
As it is the two-way communication, you will know whether the system has received the SpaceControl command.
Operating as part of the Ajax security system, the key fob is connected to the hub via the protected Jeweller protocol. In addition, the key fob can be used to control any third party security central unit through the uartBridge or ocBridge Plus integration module.
The key fob is set up through the iOS and Android-based mobile app for smartphones.
Principle of operation
The device controls the security modes and sends an alarm signal to the Central Monitoring Station by pressing the key fob panic button.
Features
The key fob can:
- Arm the system - press the button (O) once
- Turn on the night mode - press the button (c) once
- Disarm the system - press the button (C) once
- Switch on an alarm - press the button (!) once
Authentication prevents forgery of the device and false alarm signals.
Connecting and setting up
Ready to operate straight out the box: the battery is already installed, therefore there is no need to disassemble the detector. With one click, it can be connected to the hub in the mobile application.

+ livré avec piles + fonctionnement plus fiable et plus simple que les Badges RFID sur le keypad + toujours autant facile d'intégrer des appareils dans l'application AJAX - un peu cher pour ce que c'est ;-)

La commande fonctionne très bien. cependant, l'appli. pour téléphone s'avère tellement bien conçue que du coup cette commande s'avère presque superflue.
C'est le seul périphérique pour lequel je suis un peu déçu : d'un point de vue fonctionnalité, rien à redire, ça fait le job. Par contre, cette coque en plastique dur en partie vide créé, une fois sur le porte-clé, un effet grelot creux assez désagréable. Subjectif et personnel, chacun ayant sa sensibilité. Une possible amélioration serait un type de revêtement caoutchouc "premium" qui résoudrait peut-être le problème ?
