Discover the Open'R 3-in-1 air quality sensor from Netsecur
The Open'R sensor from Nexelec (sold under the Netsecure brand) is a 3-in-1 solution designed to measure and optimize indoor air quality. This intelligent device is easy to install and use, and adapts to all environments, from private residences to offices and public facilities. The Open'R detects carbon monoxide levels while also measuring temperature and humidity. It connects to compatible home automation solutions using the Zigbee protocol.
Here's a quick overview of how to set it up and use its functions in Home Assistant.
Set-up is quick and easy:
In Home Assistant, the device is compatible with ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT. Open your integration and start the inclusion procedure (here, we've done it with Zigbee2MQTT)
Then press the button behind the sensor once, and it will be immediately recognized by Home Assistant.
Once the inclusion process is complete, you'll be able to create automations, but not scenes (as it's a sensor, there aren't really any action possibilities). You can also display a map of your device in your dashboard.
Here's an example of a map in the dashboard. The first lists all available sensor feedback. The second shows graphs, which are also customizable if required.

You can then create automations like this:

(Only one action is available for automations, the "identify" button)
Conclusion
This is a precise, high-quality sensor. It's easy to integrate into Home Assistant, via ZHA and, more recently, Zigbee2MQTT.
The feedback is frequent (every 10 minutes by default) and precise, and the automation triggers are sufficient.
It can be placed on a piece of furniture, as shown in the first image. You can also mount it on a wall using the bracket supplied in the box. Its battery operation means it can be set up wherever you like.
If I had to find a fault with it, I'd say it's not the most discreet in its category, but miniaturization sometimes comes at the expense of reliability, which is not the case here. Note also that its manufacturer, Nexelec, is renowned for the quality of its sensors. The brand also offers a whole range of sensors based on LoRaWAN technology, increasingly used in Smart City projects.
